I got this sps for 2 weeks and its tips are bleaching and covered in some algae. What could be possible ? I shifted it higher up a few days ago.

seems not healthy...

could be a lot of things...

looking the pic, to me its a metter of the change of light...

but even the current could be the guilty...

need more data about the enviroment in where it was, and yours

I is a cultured sps I got. It will in relatively lower flow in the lfs. In my tank, I put it in moderately high flow, near a koralia but under it away from direct flow. The past few days I have been shifting it around and I think it has been stressed out but the tips dying I am not so sure what could be the cause.

If it is because of the light would it recover if I put it under lower lighting ?

yes...i think thats the cause...

if you LFS was under a ligth brightless than your tank, you should slowly acclimated the coral...always put a new coral un the sand bed for a few days, and after that then place it in its final location...and put an eye on it for any bad response...

Could be alk burn as well...depending on your parameters.

It is slow receding from the tips onwards, what is going on ? My alk is at 7.5 dkh and quite stable. Should I attempt to start fragging it ?
