hi, recently (two days ago) I noticed that one of my 6101s wasn't working. I took it out and inspected it. seems like nothing is wrong with it. when I plug it in, it'll try to spin but doesn't. then after about 2 seconds or so it just powers off (might be an auto shut off or something.) everytime I plug it in it'll do the same thing, try to spin, then shut off. I gave it a vinegar bath, and after that it worked for about 10 mins, then it started doing the same thing again.
What might be the problem?? what should I do??

Have you try to remove the rear bushing and inspect for calcium build up. I highly recommend following the cleaning instruction on the sticky that posted in the forum.

I read through the sticky. it doesn't say anything about the newer 6101s, cuss the impeller assembly is different from the older ones. I checked the rear bushing, it seems fine. this impeller assembly including the rear bushing works fine when I drop it into another pump, just doesn't work on this pump.

Actually the second post in that thread is likely the impeller in your 6101. Though some of the instructions like clear hole thru the imepller etc.. still apply. The impellers are interchangeable between the two models and were just simplified to speed up manufacturing. If a good cleaning does not fix the symptoms it is likely a bad motor block.
