could this survive in my tank

hey guys was up i went down to the beach yesterday and as u know its hurricane season over here in puertorico anyway i saw a whole bunch of mangrove branches all over the water and took a few for my tank now my question is i put them in my sand in my tank and the mangroves had roots would they survive thanks all

did you put them in the display or sump. Sump is where they should grow. Just a few inches of water to cover roots is all that is needed.

They may. They usually should be aclimated as you would do a coral or fish. They also may contain an organism in their roots you didn't expect.
