ID Please

This came with the LR. It looks like a foraminifer on steroids. Does anyone have a better ID?

looks like a sponge but it's hard to say. Can you get a closer/clearer picture?

Looks like a small colony of candy cane coral.

I should be so lucky as to get free candy cane...

I have zoomed in the photo (see below). As you can see it is the same color as a foraminifer. It is hard and brittle, and has little thin hair on it.
