I am having an issue with the Temp reading on my AC2. I am using X10 modules to control my devices. My problem is that when my metal Halides come on the temperture reading goes erratic. If I unplug the halides the temp readings stabilze. My question is Is there a way to isolate the metal halides so they do not cause interference? would using a DC4 or DC8 solve the issue?

Try this; place the temp probe in a cup of water and see if is still reads eratic? One thing that comes to mind would be stray electricity being induced into the tank water causing the problem. Another thing to try; move the wires expecially probe and control wires further away from the ballast and see of that makes any difference.

My ACII seemed to have a loose connection at the female connector for the temp probe, inside the actual unit. The unit is old and has some other glitches, so I upgraded to the ACIII.

Putting the probe in a cup of water improved the reading slightly but as soon as the metal halide with the electronic ballast comes on the temp reading drops. I then took the ballast and moved it in the oppsite direction of the controller and associated probes and componets and plugged it into a different outlet without the X10 module and as soon as the ballast fired the temp reading went erratic.
My next question is would a DC4 or DC8 help to isolate the metal halide?

Hmm, this is beyond anything I have seen. My feeling at this point would be to contact neptune.
