I am getting red algae in my tank. what other way than chemi-clean can i get rid of it?

Moved to New to the Hobby as more a propos here.

Is this a red slime on surfaces, or does this have more structure? How long has the tank been running?

For the moment, removing whatever's easy to reach will help remove nutrients from the system.
