Probe ????

I bought my AC3 with all the goodies back in Dec 07 with my reef club. I just now got my tank running and got the AC3 hooked up. My PH probe is saying 8.83 which is incorrect and the ORP is around 135( My Red Sea Aquazone probe is saying 350). Do the probes need to be replaced because of how long they were sitting in the box new or just recalibrated? Do I just PM Curt to buy the calibration fluid or would it be better to buy it online??

The PH needs calibrated when new. The ORP probe needs a week (+/-) in tank water to fully hydrate to the tank water before it will read accurately.

You can get PH calibration fluid at many places; for a tank you would best to use PH 7and PH 10; for a CA reactor you would use PH 4 and PH 7 (basically you want the PH you expect to measure to fall between the 2 solutions you use to calibrate).
