Rock

I found an old 80 gal aquarium in a friends barn full of rock and antler coral about 100 pounds. How do I cure it or turn it back into live rock. It is figi rock as far as I can tell. There are a lot of dead white worm things stick out here and there.

You can keep it in that aquarium with water and and a heater for a few weeks. I'd scrub the rock after about a week.

It depends if cost is an issue. If it is, start out with fresh (RO/DI) and you can do a 100% water change to salt in a couple of weeks (A couple days after scrubbing all the rock).

I did the inital soaks on my eco rox in fresh water. There is a ton of nasty crap that will leach out (and stink) anyway. It would be a total waste of salt to do the inital soak in SW.
