What are streamers? Is it the kinda of long string like on the top an bottom of the tail? I hope Im explaining it right.I have seen fish like the naso tang with streamers for sale.If that's what it is do all naso tang grow them at some point in their life or just certain fish just have them and certain fish don't? I hope Im not wayyyyy off on what streamers are.LOL

Yes the streamers are the long extensions of the tail. Not all fish have them. On the Naso, I believe only the males get them. I have also seen them on the niger trigger.

It depends on the fish.My niger trigger got them at around 3.5".But my queen trigger got them at around 6".Hear is a pic of my queen. You can see the streamers on her.

Naso seem to get them around 5-7 inches. If you see a naso over 7 inches without streamers, it's almost for sure a female.

Sohal tangs also get streamers, mine was developing them around the 4" mark.

Goldhearts get them on their top fin, mine at about 4" has one, and jmccrown has a 9" one that has 3 :)

Moorish Idols also have them on their dorsal fin
