I recently purchased an AC3 with Aquanotes, temp probe, pH probe, and ORP probe.
I set mine up with a router and am using the DYN site for access via the internet, let's say from work. Although this was confusing to me I managed to get it all working. I never did networking type stuff before.
I was trying to use the graph function via the web and I get the Java logo and then the three graphs appear with nothing graphed. If I access the graphing from aquanotes on my computer at home it works fine. I'm sure I'm missing something. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

aqua note continuously down loads and clears the data from the ac3.
Turn aqua notes off if you want to the graphs remotely etc.

Minor corrections; AquaNotes will only clears the logs if you checked the "Auto Reset Data log" on the Database->Tank Database->Configuration screen.

Download of the status happens under 2 conditions:

1) You use the Database->Retrieve Data Logs
2) Check "Record Data Log" in the Database->Tank Database->Configuration screen

I am guessing from your description that you may not have downloaded log information. You can check by looking at the Database->Tank Database->Conditions screen and if there is no data there try 1 of the 2 steps above and see if the data shows up them. If there is data in the Conditions screen then graphs should work.

That didn't seem to work. I first tried to turn off Aquanotes by unchecking run as service. I have the settings applied as stated in database. I have two entries in datalog on the internet but now I don't even see the graphs.
under tank database on aquanotes I'm getting readings every hour.
under Database/tank database/config I have auto update display, clock, and retrieve data log all checked but not auto reset datalog.
Under status nothing is highlighted ???????

Is the serial number of the controller set correctly; if it is not set correctly AquaNotes will not read the logs? Are you seeing data in the Conditions screen under tank database?

Yes, and yes to both. I do get the graphs in aquanotes from my computer but not through the internet/java (Graph)

Well that's something. At this point I think you may want to contact Neptune. AquaNotes support is best handled that way.

I don't know if this will help or not, but I just got my AC3 internet connected yesterday. I noticed the exact same thing you did when trying to look at the graphs online.

I noticed that if you reboot (or unplug) the AC3, you will lose the data on the online graph. Otherwise, mine plots a point once per hour.

Are you using aquanotes along with the internet and AC3?

No. I have the free version of Aquanotes but haven't fiddled with it yet.

I had a similar problem in the beginning, I re-loaded the files back to the AC with the update program and then went to the Java site and updated with the most current version... took 10 minutes total to fix.

I think the problem was in a damaged file in the AC though... Java did not understand what it was getting from that file and therefore crashed... no mater which computer I used to access it - it failed from my laptop and home system - that's how I know it was in the AC. (I also used several other computers at the college, airport, and convention center in LV, with the same results.)

What files did you use? did you go to the Neptune site and download the latest version? I was looking through the Aquanotes log and found a message in there a few times that says aquacontroller ROM version incorrect. Whenever I shut down aquanotes it says debug: shutting down in the log as well. I don't know if this is normal or not.

Now this is Bizarre. I was just in Aquanotes and hit download data files and I also went to Neptune's site and downloaded the zip files for Aquanotes 3.5 and the AC-3 version 3.30S 8C07. The one I have. I did unzip them on my desktop but did not run them yet.
I went to the web again and now I have one datapoint on the datalog and the graphs (still empty ) but showing the numbers High and low that are close to my parameters. I'll give it a hour or two to see what happens. Even if this works I need to know what made it work. That's how I'm wired. Thanks

I have now just checked the internet version of my AC3 and have many data points in the datalog section and the graph is working. I still don't know what has changed but I did here from tech support last night and was told that the Java application fails alot and if it does you must close the session and start another. When I checked on it later in the evening last night I had several data points under datalog but no graphs at all. I guess I should just be happy that it's working. The last thing I did was unplug the AC3 from it's power supply right after talking with the tech guy.
