Anyone have one of these skimmers yet? I was looking at the RL175 for a 90 gallon and wanted to see if anyone else had any opinions or comparisons?

From what I've seen there is better out there for less money. Check out the octo and msx. Only advantage I can see with a redline is if your lfs is the dealer as they will handle warranty issues better if they arise.

Yeah it's a day late and a dollar short skimmer with a generic ocean runner pump. It's a straight forward enough design, but out of character for precision marine

It has a smaller footprint and my space is small. I wanted to get an in sump skimmer to replace my Turboflotar but most are much larger than my little sump.

I use the PM Redline 150 on my setup and couldn't be happier! I personally think PM's build quality is excellent. The only issue I have had with mine is that when you stop the pump, sometimes you need to blow into the muffler to get the bubbles going.

Not a deal breaker tho.

What's wrong with your turboflotor?
