Hi,

I came home from work tonight to find one head of a three head torch frag turning to mush. I've had this frag about a week and it looked great until tonight. The only thing that's changed in the last week is that I fed it frozen mysis before work this morning. I hadn't fed it previously as I was just letting it sit on the bottom to get used to the light and flow. The lighting is 4x39 watt t5ho (nova extreme, single reflector). Flow is 2 Tunze 6025s in a 58 gallon. I don't have parameter info yet as I just got home--I'll report back. Any thoughts with this currently limited info? Any way to save this head? Might I lose the other two? I appreciate any help.

what are your water parameters?

That one head looks like a total loss and the other head in the first photo looks like it's pulling off slightly atthe base. Also tough to tell, but the one remaining head looks slimed over.

Get us your water readings asap. In the meantime turn up the flow on it and maybe consider a dip for the coral in the event it's an infection.

Finished testing water. Parameters are:

Temp: 79.1
SG: 1.026
pH: 8.03
Nitrate: undetectable
Alk: 10.2 dKh
Ca: 280 (just realized I've been using a faulty test kit for a while)

Jeff, I did bump the flow up a little, but everything I've read on these indicates a low to medium flow. What do you recommend for a dip?

Thanks,
Grant
