Hey,
I was wondering if any of you have ever attempted to put 2 dwarf angels in a nano. I have a Red Sea Max with an african flameback who's been there fore a while. Does not seem to be territorial especially since I have added 3 fish after him. Would it be possible for me to add an Ebili Angel as well? I know this isn't recommended but I was wondering if anyone has done this with success in a relatively smaller tank.

definitely not a good idea... even in very large systems (90 gallons plus) this isn't recommended. They are very territorial, and with the 4 fish total you're probably at your max as it is. Even if your flameback isn't aggressive toward your fish, adding a fish that is very similar to yours will be a different story

GO FOR IT!! I have a friend who has done some crazy things with his tank in regards to fish stocking. He broke most of the "rules" and do's and dont's. But you may never know if it's a good idea or not unless you try it out.

Besides worst thing that can happen is that you lose a few bucks on a fish.

I don't mean to sound rude, but don't you think thats a little inresponsible as a hobbist.

OP. Its good that your asking for advise and are doing some research before had.
I don't think its a great idea to try another angel. Even though the Elibi is a dawrf angel it still should have more room than a RSM. Even if it was by itself.

The flameback was a good choice for size. What about if you add a different type of invert to mix it up a bit. It might help with wanting something new and could be benificial than detrimental to the system. Just my thoughts

No, no, no. Personally, I would hesitate to put one dwarf angel in a tank that small, but that's just me. Adding a second or even a third angel would likely stress out all of the fish, and stressed fish tend to get disease and may even die. They may even turn on each other.

When a fish dies due to our irresponsible choices, we are losing more than a few bucks.

We know it's a bad idea, there doesn't have to be any "let's try it and see" approach.

I am disgusted with your total disregard for the well being of the Earth's precious marine life.

Thanks to all who posted. I will stay away from adding a second angel. Maybe a twin spot hogfish would work (size and temperament wise).

Mike....sorry but thats just bad advice. and I agree....irresponsible. I'm very suprised, as I've seen you give good advice many other times on these boards.

I had a paracentro.multi pair/ c.multi in a 34g for quite some time until the break up and had to sell them to different people. I would say that they set up was for a good 2.5 years. no problems, and had clams.

But it's a toss up and gamble. It doesn't always work out the way we expect it to.
