Anyone notice the huge difference in price of the SE over the DE? Anyone know why the SE are so much more expensive? Is there a difference besides one being SE and one being DE. Might as well just buy an Aquaconnect SE for that price.

Noticed the exact same thing, and just pulled the trigger on some Aquaconnects. I was told that MD had the SE bulbs exclusively for the intro, maybe the prices are inflated while that's happening.

I was told that because of the low volume being produced, it is more expensive. The price may come down over time if they become more popular. As of right now though, they are not a full production bulb. Either way, they cost less than the Aquaconnect. I wish they made a 400 watt bulb.
