It'll get over 2 feet, fishbase says 70 cm. There are some smaller related groupers that are also pretty spectacular looking. V-tail, and miniatus, for instance.
Here's an article:

It's an awfully nice fish. Maybe it will be fine in that 600 gallon tank!

I have a miniatus on my proposed stock list. Just looking at that blue spot for a few weeks now, it has really been growing on me.

the fish on your list are good sized, and I don't think you will be overstocked if you have good filtration. I'd go for it. :)

I REALLY, REALLY want that grouper, but like Lisa said, it's going to be a monster (well she didn't use those exact words).

In a 600g if you want it you can certainly get it. But one thing worth noting for groups is that they don't just get 2' long. A tang just gets 2' long, meanwhile staying relatively narrow. A 2' long grouper is going to be pretty wide as well.
What do you all think, 8"+?

8 inches sounds about right for a 2 foot trigger
