i got my serial port cable today in the mail only to find out non of the computers i have in my home have a serial port!!!!
can i use a serial to usb adapter or something of that sort?

I bought mine at Best Buy. It comes with an install disc.

yup, thats were i got mine......freakin $40 dollars.
and now i have to download a zip program so i unzip the update files....it just keeps on coming

k i need help updating my aqua jr.
i got the serial cable and unzipped the folder 3.30j-1A08 from their download section on their website. unzipped the thing and followed the instruction on their readme text file. when i try to execute the update after i did the whole turn off and hold the select button on the ac jr. it gives me a error saying jrupdate is not an internal or external command.......any ideas????

nvm figured it out, but a new error shows up.

rhoptowit, first calm down. That kind of attitude isn't going to get you anywhere.
Uploading the new firmware isn't as straight forward as it seems. It took me probably ten minutes to get it going....part of that was me trying to remember the old DOS commands.....
I had to go into the folder, then upload the file using a different COM number, try 1-6 individually and see what happens.

sorry im just frustrated that im doing this much work and spending this much money just to update the firm ware .
anyways, i got some advice to look under device management for ports com and LPT to check if i have installed the serial to usb device driver correctly and to check which com port im suppose to use. ill let u know how it goes since im not at home right now.

com7 is the port i was suppose to use. well i got it done now, thanks for the help.
