I have a 90g seahorse/pipefish tank (no seahorses or pipefish yet) it has 2 clowns in it and a coral beauty just for now and a single rock with 3 anemones on it which will eventually be transferred to my reef tank. The fish will be sold by then too. I also have other LR in their too from a previous tank. The tank is drilled and has a sump which i keep lots of LR in and chaeto. I have no skimmer on it and dont plan on putting one this tank.

I want to keep different types of macro algae in my seahorse/pipefish tank especially feather calupera, grape and a few others. I was wondering if there are any others that keep macro algae in their DP or large sized refugium and have good success with keeping it alive. I've read it can go sexual and disintegrate over night and i dont want that to happen..can anyone help me?

it is primarily caulerpa that will have that issue, there are many macros that will do fine without such a risk. are you dead set on the caulerpas?
