I'm Looking for a used Tank Canopy and Stand around a 55gal. Does anyone have one that is going to be coming to the frag swap or is close or on my way from kentucky there? I would like to have a RR tank and I can also swap a 29gal BioCube. Complete with stand and Homemade Canopy top.

Anyone have one??

FWIW, a standard 55 gallon (footprint of 4' x 1'), IMO, is a really poor choice if you're planning on making it a reef tank.

I follow looking for something in that size, but the width of the tank in comparison to the height and length makes it really hard to aquascape and light. Just something you might want to think about as you upgrade if you are planning a reef. I know it might cost a bit more in the short-term, but you'd be much happier with a 75 gallon and would pay off long-term through not having to upgrade another time. Just a thought.

I cannot agree with Brian more. I have a 45g tall right now and that is one thing that I absolutely HATE about it... its really shallow and it makes aquascaping a pain.

I'm not dead set on a 55gal. but would like a 55-75 gal. Don't want another 120 gal unless it's a talll and fat tank. Don't have the space for a long 120 gal.

I have a 120 tall and love the look of it shape wise. I saw one on craigslist Nashville not long ago, check them out also! :)
