have any of you guys herd of reef stew. one of my lfs sells it i was thinking it would be a good way of seeding my sand bed and live rock.

i havent heard of that product but if yo know someone in your area with a mature tank you can get a small cup of sand from them and that should get things going...good luck

Reef stew is copapods - baby brine - etc... Aquatouch & pets inc both sell it. We give it to our Mandarin every week.

Yes, I use it to maintain copepods in my fuge and in my dt. I think they recommend like an ounce per gallon or something like that. I put 3/4th's in my dt and the rest in my sump. It's not expensive so try it out.

It's made by ReefStew here on forums and sold to all the local shops. Not a "product" the main forums would recognize. A lot of phoenix area reefers use it.
