I am building a three tank system with the following specs.
65g display refugium with DSB and jawfish
225 g Reef with SPS and anemones Fully loaded with fish but mostly tangs, anthias etc.
125g FOWLR This will have a DFP, rabbitfish, aggressive wrasses, but PROBABLY not any sloppy eaters really.
75g basement sump.
I am wondering what MSX skimmer is recommended here, and for the selected skimmer what is the wattage and cleaning schedule.
Thanks
Kevin

Bump, I am also looking for a skimmer for 500g mixed reef with a fairly heavy bioload

You could go a few different routes...but No, we do not have a single skimmer rated for a Heavy bioload 500g system at the moment.:
The MSX Cone 1A is rated for a 400g Heavy bio load system.
The MSX Cone 2S is rated for a 400g Heavy bio load system.
The MSX 250 is rated for a 315g Heavy bio load system.
The MSX 300 is rated for a 365g Heavy bio load system.
You could combine any 2 of those skimmers and get a great setup that will skim your tank(s) extremely well. It really all depends on how you want to approach it.
You could use 1 each of the cones and have 2 cones, each driven by different pumps that will have different flow through rates.
You could use the 1a cone and a 250 or 300 and have 2 different designs of skimmers with 2 different pumps with different flow rates.
You could use a 2S and a 250 or 300 and have 2 different designs using the same pump configuration.
You could get 2 of the 250/300 and just have 2 skimmers.
Any of those ways would work...personally, I would go with the 2nd option, and set one to skim wet and one to skim dry.
I just finished testing the cones on our SPS/LPS prop system that is 1000g, there was 1 each of the 1A, 2S, and 250. You can read the results here. (http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1553660)

Forgot to answer the rest of your question...Sorry!
The 2S, 250, and 300 are all using the Sicce PSK2500 pump that draws around 20w each, and will need a run in vinegar every 6 months or so (good practice for ALL pumps to remove calcium buildup).
The 1A uses a modified Askoll/Laguna 1500 and draws 65-70w and will need run in vinegar every 6 months as well.
All 4 skimmers have fittings in the collection cup so that they can be hooked up to a remote wast collector...but the necks should still be cleaned every 4-7 days (depending on if you are skimming wet or dry) just to keep the skimmers performance up (another good practice for ALL skimmers).
