does anyone know what this might be? I have a tanish jelly looking slime that is eating my cup coral.

Without a pic I would say it was a bacterial infection (brown jelly disease)

Upload the picture to photobucket.com then you can copy and paste the image code in the text of your post. The picture will appear after submitting the post. Most pictures are to large to place in the gallery on rc straight from your pc.

Need the pic for sure. If its a brown jelly looking mass, its probably a protozoan infection like helicostoma. best bet is to siphon off the jelly with an airline tubing, then remove the coral and give it a fresh water dip for 30 seconds. FW should be the same temp as your tank water. Best to then place the coral in a higher flow area to keep the open wound flushed so the helicostoma can't re infect that area.

sorry can't help ya..I don't like cops...LOL.......seriously take Joe's advise ..thats the way I take care of it too, but try to post up a pic.
