View Full Version : Warming up the water before the filter

I am in central NY and this time of year it it pretty cold.

I had read where someone had put about 35 feet of tubeing
in a 5 gallon bucket with an aquarium heater (and water) to
warm the supply water before sending it on to the RO/DI filter.

I fugure it is worth a shot.

Seing that it is Supply water I would assume I could
also use copper tubeing for better heat transfer.

Do you see and problems with this?

Thank you

No problem with using copper tubing for this. Better go with 3/8" tubing and a large (e.g., 500 watt) heater.
