View Full Version : Microscopic worm living in/on Ventricaria?

Can anyone ID this worm? I was looking at a Ventricaria under my microscope under 400X and saw this guy. I believe he was actually inside the Ventricaria but he might have just been on it. Hard to take pics through a microscope.

I'm not expecting any sure identification but anyone know of anything close or similar that is known to live in/on Ventricaria.?

that looks like a nematode. I've read that if everything in the world disappeared, and all of the nematode worms were the only thing left in place, you'd be able to make out the faint outline of almost every tree, rock, person or other large object. They're everywhere.

Well if I remember right from my microbio classes, if it is a nematode it is probably parasitic.
