I need to change my pc bulbs soon on my 20 long. I have a current satellite fixture with a 6700k/10000K bulb and a 420nm/460nm bulb. I would like my tank to be a little more blue but if i change the 6700k/10000K bulb to like a 10000k/460nm will it effect coral growth. I have some lps, soft corals and a couple monti caps.

you will have less par... but it is what it is. I would never run a 6700k bulb, dont like that color, growth be damned

would a bulb that was just 10000k make much difference in color?

I would just switch your 6700K/10000K, to an all 10000K. It will look a lot more "crisp"; may not be the blue you're looking for, but it will be better than the 6700K and is your best option.

10K bulbs are pretty white I think that if you are looking for a bluer bulb 14k or 20k if they make them for PC
