I am really leaning towards using this in my 75g display, mostly because I want something a bit larger grain than the other choices of sand. I would be getting 80lbs, so would have between a 1-2" bed once rock is added.

so, is this a good choice of substrate? I am hoping to order later tonight at some point... cleanup crew for a mildly stocked mixed reef are
25 cerith snails
25 nass. snails
12 blue leg hermits
1 fighting conch
12ish astrea snails
2 serpent stars (1 12" red one and 1 6-8" harlequen)

any insight to this would be great!

give it time bro.

I went with 4" of sugar and 1"? of selct. We will see how long it takes to get mixed.

I have 1" of select. I like the way lit looks and the fact that it doesn't blow around as easily.

If you're not going to run a DSB, I'd keep it to an inch or under.

thanks. I've decided to go select for the display (1") and sugar for the fuge (3-4").
