I have replaced a 6101 with a 6105. I had 2 6101's opposing each other on an 8' tank and now have a 6105 on one end and 2 6101's on other end.

The 6105 really seems to push much more water than the 6101. I have actually put the 15v jumper in instead of the 24v. I can't imagine tanks that have several pumps or tanks with 6205's.

Is there any problem with "Pmp Int 00/100" as opposed to what I had before which was "Pmp Int 30/100"? The wavebox pumps go from 0 to 100 so why not the 6105's. I did not do this with the 6101's because it appeared the mounting clips could not take the stress of 0 to 100 percent. I belive this to be much better for the corals, especially the ones close to the pump. Not so much of a constant flow on the corals. The 6105 mounts don't even budge.

Thanks for any advice.

My understanding is that the pumps can be switched from 0 to 100%, or 30 to 100% with no damage to the pump. Damage can occur to the pump if operated in the 1 to 29% range, so that range should be avoided.

I will try to contact tunze to get confirmation that going from 0 to 100% is ok. I find that the wave effect is much more favorable and the corals appear to sway in the current much more. The mounting brackets on the 6105's are far better than the older style.
