My gf baught me a mag 12 for x-mas and it just came in the other day. I was looking at it and its a mag 12 "pondmaster"???? Is that the same?

Well, sort of. The pond version has a longer cord and the regular version uses nylon screws.

can anyone confirm that Supreme Mags use Nylon screws?

I have bought both, for my reef tank and pond. Both had stainless screws fastening the impeller housing. The pondmasters have the longer cord. There are may be differences in the type of inlet on the impeller housing though, they can have either a male or female fitting.

If possible check the wattage or flow with a kilawatt/flowmeter for the small reason that longer cords reduce the amount of voltage/power to the pump which should translate into slightly lower wattage and flow. I would be curious.
