Hi,

I'm not new to the hobby, but am new to nano's, if 29g is considered "nano." I went ahead and bought the current orbit set-up, I like the unit but not the bulbs that came with it, it's not eye pleasing to me. I don't like the yellow look. I much prefer a whiter color.

Should the daylight be 10k or a combo? I don't want it to look 'bleached either'
As for actinics:
Is there any "true Actinic 03" in PC's?

Bulbs I have:
1x65 dual actinic 420/460
1x65 dual daylight 10000k/67000k

I would just get rid of the 1ok/6700k and replace it with a 50/50 bulb Marinedepot.com. its the 6700k that is giving off the yellow.

go with a 10,000k bulb with the acitic, that will give a whitish, purple look, or you can buy a 50/50 bulb, also i have a coralife mini over my 5.5 its 10k and acitic, but it was a little small for the tank so i got 2 50/50 bulbs to fill in the difference

Sorry to post and run. Had unexpected company.

Anyway, Is this what you guys are talking about?

Actinic 03 (420nm)/10000k combination bulb. One tube will light up bright white and the other tube a purplish/blue color. The advantage of this bulb is it tends to be the most visually appealing. If only a single bulb is being used (or two bulbs end to end) over the tank this will give you a nice mix of white and blue for the tank.

I'm afraid 1 x 65 50/50 and the other 65k with true actinics will be to blue. But, what do I know. Never seen these in person.

I've used MH + PC ....MH and VHO and.... 550watts of VHO 3 bulbs uri actinic and 2 uri daylight it was the best colors I've ever had and corals were beautiful.

saltyboy- do you mind posting a picture of your tank? Need some visuals. :)
Anybody else with pictures would be very much appreciated.
