i bought a fairly large ananome for my clown to start hosting it
but for some reason they wont go anywhere near it

does it take time for the clown to adjust

also my clowns and chrmois only stay and swim at the front of the tank they wont move around anywhere else
does any1 know or heard of why this is

Yep, they have to get used to it. just let them be and keep feeding them. the time it takes depends as i had clowns that hosted within days and just a recent pair a few months!

What type of anemone and what species of clownfish?

Even with species that are found together in the wild, it could take anywhere from a few seconds, to a few years, to never.
Of course, the chances are much better if they are naturally found together, but there's no guarantees.

it can take a long time.

I used to have a rose bubble tip anemone and it took about 6 months before they started to fall in love with it.

I would be very, very watchful of a magnifica. They are very difficult to keep. could you give us some details on your set up and post some pics?
