I have a dual overflow setup with custom durso standpipes. The water falling over the overflows is making quite a bit of noise and i was wondering if I can raise the standpipes? What is the recomended height(difference between tank level and overflow level)? Mine is about 5" now.

The water level in the overflow box will be a little more than 2/3 of the way up the tee. The height I have mine is so the water only drops about 2".
I get a tiny trickle sound you can only hear at night when everything in the house is off.

mfinn, good info. I was hoping i could raise mine a bit so the noise would diminish.
