Q about TFP Frag Event

Hey all, getting pretty excited about the NCPARS Frag Extravaganza coming up. Can someone fill me in on how these things work, I've never been to one. I plan on buying assorted monti and acropora frags to stock my 20L nano. Do I need to bring containers for the frags or are bags usually supplied? Thanks.

The people selling frags usually have something to package them in, either containers(like plastic soup containers) or bags. What kind of Monti's and Acro's are you looking for? Where are you located?

I'll be looking for some Monti caps. and digitata, especially green and purple varieties.

Otherwise I'm interested in fast growing, hardy SPS like Pink and Green Birds Nests, A. millepora and a Green Bali Slimer.

Not too particular…hey, been staring at a tank full of little bugs and rock for the past coupla months, anything’s an improvement from here. BTW I'm in E-town.

I have all that stuff you are looking for. I can hook you up with some if you are interested. Let me know if you would like to stop over and check them out sometime. Are you interested in being part of our club?, nothing real official yet, just got it going last month, so more like just getting together to share stories, ideas, and to swap frags, no real agenda. Most of my stuff is free, a donation to the club would be acceptable though if you feel like it. Hope to meet up with you either at the swap or here if you would like.

I would bring some kind of a cooler or something maybe with a couple of hand warmers or something to keep them warm. Otherwise its a pain to walk around with bags and containers.

Yeah, good call about the cooler. I was thinking of bringing one with a few jugs of hot water thrown in to keep the temps up.

Hey Matt, thank for the friendly welcome, the club sounds cool. I'm interested for sure. Unfortunately don't have any frags to swap...yet. I've got high hopes for my system though. (2x150W MH's, lots of flow and a LMIII dosing B-Ionic)

I actully got those hot packs the ones you can buy at walmart and used them. I wrapped them up in newspaper and my cooler stayed warm, through the whole NJ reef swap.

I haven't decided yet about the swap. You are more than welcome to come to my place to see if there is anything you would like before the swap. I don't have my frag system set up yet, so most of my things would be fresh cuttings, setting up a small part of the frag system tonight. Let me know if you want anything(very cheap or free for most of my things for now). Have a good weekend.
