View Full Version : Question about Eshopps sump....

01/16/2009, 09:04 PM
I am looking into purchasing an Eshopps RS-75 which your site specs as having a 12x10" skimmer section. However, when I look at the picture, it looks like that area would be hindered height wise by the return cover. Is that the case? If so, would the Eshopps PSK-100 skimmer fit into the skimmer section of the RS-75?

One other question about the sump.... What size is the return pump area? Could it accommodate an Ocean Runner 2500?

Thank you for your post. The Eshopps PSK-100 In Sump Protein Skimmer (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=20033) will fit easily into the skimmer area of the Eshopps RS-75 Reef Sump (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=18365) even with the cover for the overflow tube in place at the top of the sump. The skimmer would have to be placed beside the cover on the sump. You are able to use the Ocean Runner 2500 (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=14677) for your return pump, as this area is 6” x 10” in size and the pump measures 6” x 3 ½” x 4” high and 6” x 4 ¾” x 5 ¼” with the mounting plate.
