I am considering the addition of kalk to my system and in the process of looking into the pump driven or stir bar mixing assemblies, found the Aqua Medic reactor. I like the idea of the stir bar running continuously as it will eliminate a timer from my system and the associated wiring, but I question the long term dependability of this method for mixing kalk. Would any of you that have experience with this sort of unit please give comments, pro or con, for going with this style of kalk reactor?

The KWS 1000 model is what I am referring to. It can be found here:

long term using kalk=replacing parts. Its cheaper and easier to replace a maxi pump in a kalk reactor than any part in a kal stirrer. Even easier and more efficient according to randy Holmes to auto top off kalk/water, and use that money to get a litermeter. You'll only need to maintenance with vinegar for like 30 min every 90 days or so.
Just my opinion
