calcium test kit?

Hi, I am using the Elos calcium test kit, should the aquarium water being tested be added to the test vial 5ml line? When I the 5ml syringe the water seems to be over the 5ml mark in the test vial. Thanks

The syringe is the number to go by. The line on the vial was just given for a second check but it is more confusing and we know that now, so we have removed the marks on the vials. Sorry for the confusion.

sorry for asking but do I draw water into the syringe up to the 5ml line or does the bottom end of the plunger have to line up with the 5ml line? Thanks in advance.
