Hello everyone:

My name is Joe, I reside in Ontario Canada, I'm 46 have two kids, I'm manage a sales team in the Lubricants business. My hobbies are auto racing and my escape is my reef tank.

I have been keeping cichlids for about 10 years and have them in my office, (the sound of the water and the fish keeps me calm) I started slow with SW researching and reading for about a year, then I started last October, and so, this is rather new tank.

I didn't want to start small and go big, coming from a racing back ground, it's go big or go home :) So I went with 150g show tank with a 65 gallon sump. With refridge and live sand bed 200 ibs of rock.

I started slow and now have about 10 fish, mostly soft corals but I'm starting to try sps. just two pcs.

I've been reading the threads here as a guest and have decided to join, I didn't want to join the community as a complete nubie. But I'm learning everday, and I love the return this hobby has to offer. And the great people that I meet.

Cheers! and please bare with me!

Joe

ok, here are some pics I took todnight, sorry lights out for the fish, pass their bed time!

The stand is 38"h and the tank is 32"h so i don't have room for pendents. I'll post shots of the tank with the lights on later. I want to read up on the photo tips first.

That frosted glass was to keep the wife happy, to match the cabinets in the office and the office door, I wanted to go with a stainless door, but she said if would look too cold! :) whatever that means!
