ro/di flush kit?

i bought a ro/di from bulkreefsupply and i bought the flush kit with it. does the flush kit stay on all the time or just every now and then? thanks for the help.

Stays on - I run it for 30 sec or a minute before and after running the unit. I've seen conflicting info as to whether they help, but as I see it, for the minimal cost & time involved to 'flush', might as well...

ok that helps cause i didnt know if i turn it on and never turn it off, so ill just turn it on before and after i run it thanks for the help
