OK guys so this is the start to my 20 long I just restarted. I originaly had this tank set up before but I came back from class one day and saw the side of the tank busted and all the water on the floor of my dorm room. Over the holidays I got a new tank and desided to start it back up.
Equipment:
a standard 20 long tank
2x65 watt pc light
an hob top fin filter used to run carbon
one aquaclear 50
one aquaclear 30
and a 100 watt stealth heater
coralife digital thermometer
maybe a skimmer later but for now lets see what happens
Live rock/sand:
20lbs of live sand
30lbs of fiji live rock
I started this tank on Jan the 19th but have been curing the rock for almost 2 months now, in a diffrent tank but with the same light.
coral plans
-zoos
--fire and ice (looking for 2 frags)
--purplr people eaters (looking for a frag)
--some type of black zoo
--some type of blue zoo
-leathers
-GSP
-maybe others but I want to keep this tank simple
Livestock plans
-2 clowns
-1 or 2 cleaner shrimp
-blue leg hermits
-red leg hermits
-maybe a few snails (not really a big fan of them but we'll see what happens)
Current corals
-toadstool leather
-2 zoanthid frags
--I bought one
--I made the other
Current live stock
-2 red leg hermits (lfs was out)
-2 blue leg hermits (lfs was out)
-1 cleaner shrimp
I know it seems like I'm going really fast with this tank and I probably am but I'm going to slow down after I add my clowns and maybe a few more zoas. My plans for this tank are to grow some mother colonies so I can start fragging.
Pics to come later today after I finish with classes. For now a FTS but before coral or anything and before rescaping the tank.
