Hello,

I currently have a 100 gpd RO and looking to replace RO filter. Should I go down to a 75 RO gpd with the appropriate flow restrictor or just place the with a new 100 gpd RO?

Thank you for your thoughts.

if they are Dow Filmtech membranes, the 75 GPD has around a 97% rejection rate compared to 90% on the 100 GPD. Which this means if you have a DI stage, the lower rejection rate would use up the DI faster, if you don't have a DI, the water coming out of the lines would be slightly better. I have a 100 GPD with DI, low TDS tapwater and have no problems with mine

With your tank size my guess is that even 100 gpd can seem too slow. An ideal solution would be to drop to a 75, add some capacity to store DI water (an open/unpressurized/atmospheric tank) and if needed, add a booster pump to increase production speed.
