My radioactive dragon eyes have begun to overgrow one of my prized chalices. The rock cannot be removed that the Zoas are on without serious headaches, so its not an option.
Can I just kalk a few zoas a day to remove them? Is there any other method? Or, should I just try to remove the chalice and move it to a safer location?
Thanks!

you could frag the zoas onto a LR piece and sell them to the LFS

not worth it at all. I just want to know if I can kill them with Kalk.

Yes you can kalk them but should be very easy to remove. All you have to do is pry an edge loose & peel them off the rock. They are worth something to somebody--a lot of somebodies... They're not just colorless brown zoas.

Kyle, yes you can. Not really suggested here as most folks here love polyps and would rather see them fragged and sold/traded.
But if you really can't, then kalk is a #1 for me. Turn off all pumps/water movement. mix kalk to slightly thick paste, dab them right on the polyp / syringe right in their mouths... keep tank with out flow for 5-10 mins. Some polyps melt right away some takes a couple of tries. like buttom polyps.
suction them out once melted off the rocks.

cool - thanks Charles - I was killing some rogue Aiptasia tonight, and wanted to just push them back a bit - sucks when they start messing with a chalice that's probably worth more than a few pennies.
I have thousands of these things, so losing a few is not really a big deal - I guess they are worth something to someone, but for me they are just a big pain in the butt!
Maybe Ill give one more try to pry them, but I've never had very good luck with that in the past.

Scaple or a larger exacto knife works wonders. Try scraping of the thin layer or rock right underneath the polyp mat and rockwork.
Kyle, totally understandable with the collection of chalices and SPS that you have. I still actually have to hit you up to buy some stuff from you. I'll contact you later this month or next about doing a deal.

agree--scalpal to loosen then suck them out with a hose--then remount them to a small rock for yourself/friend.
