You slammed him pretty hard there kreeger1. I know exactly where these corals came from, right here in Michigan and jpa0741 is using the same pics to share his purchase with us that the LFS used to advertise them. I don't see anything wrong with doing that. They may not be shopped at all, though they are heavy on the actinics, it wasn't his fault and he isn't the one to blame for the heavy blue hue. I think you owe him one my friend.

You MI people get some nice stuff! It has hard to find really good stuff on STL MO at present. What store did they come from? I am headed to the UP in May and I would like to stop by a few of the Detroit stores. I heard there was a nice store near Ann Arbor.

Some of you here are a joke. The LFS posted this pic in our local forum and I thought they looked too good to be true. Since it is right down the street I went to check them out. They look excactly like you see in the picture. Yes they were taking under t-5 with lots of blue. That will make the egg crate look blue. When I take pics my eggcrate looks blue. All i run are Radiums. They look the same in my tank. I did walk out of the LFS with a frag of this and I am a SPS guy. I will take a pic of them myself when I get a chance. I don't know why everyone that sees blue eggcrate thinks a pic is photo shopped. Most of use here run tanks that are blue. Unless you see a coral in question first hand you have no right to accuse.

They were $39.99 a polyp. What really makes them cool are the double rim aound the outside.

They do look just like this in my tank under 20k Radiums. I am not a zoa guy and would not have bought them otherwise. I would take a pic in my tank but my camera does not zoom in well enough.

Here are a couple pics. This the best I could do. Maybe later I can pull the container out and get some better pics. The first pic is with my Radiums on and no flash. No my tank is not that blue but I don't know how to adjust the white balance on my camera. The second pic is with flash. As you can see it looks pretty much like the original pic, considering that pic was taken top down. We all know corals look different top down.

Great pics. My camera does not have a macro mode just a simple point and shoot. They do have in some beautiful zoas and palys right now. I might pickup a few more different ones this weekend.

I also picked up a larger frag of the ones from the first page.

All pics were taken in my frag tank with a 250w XM 20k bulb ran by a HQI (m80) ballast.

Keep them blasted with light to keep that color, IME. Unfortunatly, I dont have enough light to do it, but you do. Mine have morphed terribly because of it....
