I am using a 400w HYDOR HEATER in my Saltwater tank and am wondering if this will be ok, or will the saltwater damage it. I dont want to electrify any fish or myself for that matter. Please let me know if this will work or if I should invest in something else.

Yes it is an Aquarium Heater. I just heard some heaters may slowly get damaged from the salt water and electrify your tank.

That heater will be just fine. I do recommend that people use two smaller heaters vs one big one. If one of them fails either stuck on or off you won't have the massive temperature swing if you have just one large one.

If your only heater fails, you tank could drop to a real low temp (based on how cold you keep your house) I've had a lot of LPS corals die because 1 night it failed, and dropped to 66 degrees F.

GFCI outlet.

You can place the outlet itself - or smaller plug in varieties are available.
