i came across a used Pro Clear 150gallon Skimmer! I decided to buy it, as i got it realllllly cheap. The only problem was that it was installed wrong at the factor and spits our water at the venterui valve rather than sucking in air....Anyways, i rigged up a little DIY valve and piping, and had this! Only problem, i am not getting a Ton of micro bubbles....rather just a few larger bubbles.

I think it is my pump. These pumps come factory with a CA-1400 pump, which is 650 gph (or 600gph, cant remember) and three venteri valves. While the setup i have now, only has one valve. If i order this pump, will this fix my problem of the bubbles?

Thanks!

try slightly restricting the water intake of the pump. start by using a piece of foam over the intake just to get an idea if its worth doing something more permanent along those lines.

can you post a few pictures of your rigging? Am i understanding correctly that your pumps are putting out good flow...pulling a decent amount of air but the bubble size is far too large? id try taking ur venturi inlet hose off and making sure the angle of the inlet nipple isnt clogged and that it is facing away from the pump. closeup images of the hardware in particular would be most helpful. how large are the bubbles? larger than 1mm?

Sounds like either your venturi is installed backwards, or you do not have a large enough pump feeding the unit.
