i personally would avoid all hermit crabs. and it also depends on if you're going with a sandbed, BB, DSB, or crush coral and what kind of tank it is going to be. need more info

I have a mix of snails and hermits. I've never heard a bad thing about hermits.

I have always had hermit crabs in all of my tanks. Never had a problem.

A good mix of different snails and crabs is a good choice.
