has anyone heard of using this product called MATRIX???

i was ordered not told to put some in my canister (after my last panic attack) which i did filled 2 trays 1kg each with it took out carbon noodles etc left the sponge

as the lfs said the best possible filteration system for any tank and is a must to have
never need to be replaced just light wash etc


now i swear by it my water is crystal clear never had no algea bloom or ich or any other matter since i started using it
keep all water parra spot on


so im just curious if anyother hobbyist is using it
since i havent read nothing being mentioned on the site regarding
this product

Basically, Seachem Matrix is a whole lot like live rock (dry rock, that is). It's a porus material (no chemicals) that provides surface area for nitrification (ammonia -> nitrite -> nitrate). This is theoretically similar to surfaces like bioballs and the "biowheel" but unlike either of these products and like live rock Matrix has dense low-oxygen areas that support anaerobic activity and the associated conversion of nitrate into nitrogen gas.

I've never used it myself, but that's the theory...

well the theory is pretty much spot on

i will defin recommend it and is a must to try
