Red Sea Reef Base, good/bad?

I am setting up a 25Gal nano, using DSB and LR and lots of flow for filtration. What is the consensus on this substrate? Is it worth getting over regular crushed coral or any other substrate for that matter? Lastly what depth would I be best of using. Thanks.

I would stick with less than 1 inch of aragamax. I really like this sand. It buffers the pH as well
