hi im looking to buy some frags on this website and was wondering if anyone could help me. im new to corals and dont understand much.
this website http://www.fragalot.ca/zoa.html says that Pricing is per polyp.
can anyone explain to me what that means and what a polyp is exactly. is that 1 circle?
also when you buy a frag how would you put them in your tank. all the info i find is about cutting them and selling them, not instructions how to plant them and how fast they grow and other things.

I am new and haven't kept any yet, but I am up at this late hour and can answer your 1st question; Yes, per polyp means 1 circle.
There are many experts in this section, they'll teach you alot about these.
There are also existing threads in this section which explain about polyps and their care if you wanna take a look. There are threads about how different people grow polyps, problems that can arise with polyps and what to do, etc.
Good luck, I can't wait to get some zoas too!

I can start you off with the basics-
First thing you will want to do is dip your zoas before they go into your tank to get rid of unwanted hitchikers/pests/predators. Heres a link with some info-
http://michiganreefers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9219
After the dip, you will want to put them strait into the tank. If you can find out the placement of the zoas before hand, try to copy their placment in their orriginal tank. (high/low lighting, strong/weak flow) If you cant get that info, start them with moderate to low light and decent flow and slowly move them up till they seem happy and colorful in their spot.
The speed of growth can depend on the type of polyps you have, color, placement, and tank conditions. Some grow like weeds, other grow very slow.
To plant them, you will want to find a spot as stated above. They will probly be attatched to a rock or frag plug. Just nestle them into the spot you find suiting. If by chance they come as free floating polyps, you can use super glue gel to attatch them to a rock/plug, mat side down (thats the part that the circles/stalks are all attatched together by) Dont get any glue on the stalks or actual polyps if you can help it.
After you get all this done, its just a matter of moving them around in your tank to find their "happy" spot. After you find their happy spot, leave them alone to adjust to the new spot. Take your time when moving them around. They will probly want to be left alone for a while before you know if they are happy or not.
They will grow by expanding their mat onto other rocks or cover the rock they are on, and polyps will form from this new grown mat.
There is alot more info on zoas/palys, but this is just a couple of the basics. Hope it helps! Good luck!
