I just set up my first tank and I have all the live rock and fish in the tank (FOWLR) and I was wondering how important it is to epoxy some of the rocks together. They are pretty stable so far.

If I need to epoxy what would be the best method since it has gone live.

Thanks.

It surely can't hurt anything to secure your rocks with epoxy. You can buy Reef Epoxy from your LFS. Break off a piece, roll into a ball until it turns one color (white), then apply it to the main joints where your rocks meet. Once it hardens, it wont go anywhere.

You do not have to epoxy your rocks. If they are stacked and secure - your fine.
If your stacking very high and they are teatering - you should use epoxy.
If you've stacked your rocks on top of the sand - your always going to be in trouble.

Stack the rock before you add sand otherwise it will become ustable as it will settle in the sand....If no sand then your good. Epoxy is perminent and most times unnecessary
