Another Skimmer Question

A buddy of mine has a Das Ex-2 body. It is cracked, but i will run it in my sump. I currently have a Ex-1. I was wondering if the bottom end of the body having cracks would make a difference. I was just going to epoxy the outside and let it rip. He said it might have a slow leak where the pump connects also. I was wondering if anyone had any advice about if the skimmer should perform the same.

If you fixed all the leaks then it should perform the same.

if the body's cracked but the crack is tight, you could either put some weld-on3/4 in it, or wo16 on the outside of it, let it dry, and if the leak around the pump is an acrylic issue also, try the same. or find out why the pump input is leaking and then we can go from there
