View Full Version : Strange damsel - need ID

Sorry no pic :D

It's so small (thumbnail size at most) and I'd never be able to get a pic of him as fast as he is so I'll describe it as best as I can:

Very bright orange throughout the entire body. There's a single big bright blue eye spot on the dorsal. He also has the typical bright blue stripe across his nose / face as well as a few other bright blue accent spots and stripes.

I've looked and looked but can't find a pic of it anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also known as "grows big, mean and brown". Unfortunately they lose almost all of the vivid colors as they grow.

Precisely!

Just like the velvet damsels and many other beautiful small chromis/damsels. They get bigger, uglier, and mean as hell!

LOL! Figured it would lose some of the colors, but was hoping not all. Damsel = mean LOL!

Not all are mean, but in this Genus unfortunately Damsel=bully &/or murderer!
