For water changes I like to use a MaxiJet 1200 witha mod kit and a bait bubbler to oxygenate the water.I was wondering if the bubbler could be doing something to the chemistry of the salt mix. I'm useing RO/DI water with an added carbon filter and an extra pre partical filter. With a TDD meater that reada 0pmm in and 0pmm out.And with all that I'm still getting this Blue Green fern looking Alge!!!!!!!
And I have a phosban reacter, berlin turbo red sea skimmer:(

The salt mix and RO/DI (aerated or not) is unlikely the source of the nutrients for the algae. Fish foods are the usual source. :)

I'd be willing to bet your nitrates are through the roof.
Do you test for nitrate ?
Also sounds like bryopsis to me too.
